Vertical farm in South Korea

Vertical farms are basically buildings with the intention of indoor controlled farming, heres an example of an existing vertical farm in South Korea. What I like about it is that for example every person that needs to step into the building has to go through and "air shower" room to keep germs and bacteria from entering the controlled setting.

One section of the building (young Lettuce)

The main issue vertical farms face is lighting, and the amount of electricity needed for indoor lighting.

Another section (full grown Lettuce)

A simple graph which shows electricity and oxygen exchange, as well as importation and exportation.

Energy statistics of the building

This is an interesting website that I got this information from, it has current live vertical farms that I will regularly check for updates and other information.
